Current status of Japan’s legislation following Kigali Amendment, application of low-GWP refrigerants and energy efficiency promoting activities
In this side event, latest development of Japan’s legislation and financial support for R&D of low-GWP products was presented by METI (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry).
Following METI’s presentation, JRAIA (The Japan Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry Association) explained current status of studies on low-GWP refrigerants and its commercialization of RACHP products. In addition, advantage of adopting CSPF (Cooling seasonal performance factor) in MEPS evaluation to promote more energy efficient products such as inverter driven Acs, ultimately leading to reduction of CO2 emission in A5 countries was presented in detail.
